About Us

Lyon County Water District operations consist of 4 full-time employees, 1 superintendent, 1 office, and 3 field employees. The Lyon County Water District Board and staff work diligently to provide and maintain accurate records of all customers, as well as strive to provide high-quality, safe drinking water to customers and residents at all times. The field staff monitors water quality throughout the ­­­­312 miles of system infrastructure and provides leak determination and repair.

The Lyon County Water District also strives to improve the system with upgrades in the distribution system as needed.

The mission of the Lyon County Water District is to provide safe potable water to all residents of Lyon County.

Frequently asked questions

If your property is equipped with a meter tap, a transfer & unlock fee will be applied. If not, the required forms must be filled out, turned it & a tap fee of $1,2565.00 must be paid.  We do not Unlock of meters After 2:00 PM and After Business Hours

You can pay your bill automatically each month through bank draft, on our website pay online feature (top), over the phone, in person at our office, or through the mail*

Boil Water Advisories are typically issued when pressure on a main line drops below a certain point.  This can be caused by leaks, repairs, or maintenance. Water used for consumption (drinking, cooking, brushing teeth) should be boiled for at least 3 minutes before consumption. Icemakers should be turned off.

We offer the ability to pay your bill online, as well as over the phone through our automated IVR system. To pay online, simply click the Pay Online button located at the top right of the page. To pay by phone, you can call the automated system at (270) 353-0058.
